LOS ANGELES, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Equity Strategic Relations) - Known throughout the music industry for their artist relations,
Christina Martin and
Tanya Nea Thayer feature another video clip about their lives in the music industry. At Pointfest, Ozzfest, Rockfest, South By Southwest, Grammys and MTV VMAs - to name a few -
Christina and
Tanya have acted as liaison between corporate sponsors and talented bands like The Killers, Papa Roach, Wolfmother, Angels & Airwaves, Three Days
Grace and
Modern Day Zero.
This lifestyle has attracted production companies and new media bidding for content deals based upon Christina and Tanya's access in this world. "We are entertaining ideas from production companies and also some really cool mobile companies who want us to do rock n roll mobisodes," explains Thayer.
Creativity is part of the industry's attraction to this pair. From Heineken to Swarovski, the ability for Christina and Tanya to integrate product placement into what they do strengthens production opportunities now facing them. New ideas for marketing artists position the duo as innovators at a time when, "the only things that work in music these days are what you would call 'non-traditional,'" as one label executive puts it.
Packaging talent and creating show concepts around today's hottest touring rock bands, Christina notes, "I'm inspired by the culture among bands, the lingo, the inside jokes, the integrity of the art and irreverence for it at the same time."
Working together at Equity Strategic Relations, Christina's investment background and Tanya's formal film education drive their work forward. Tanya just directed a music video for the band Sink To See and Christina is featured this week in the Los Angeles Business Journal remarking on the U.S. economy.
A perfect storm of excellent radio relations, label relations, artist relations, corporate partners, and friends in the biz, Christina and Tanya personify the new landscape of the music industry.
As Tanya puts it, "breaking the rules, hitting the high and low notes in life, and finding yourself on the road, are all things we have in common with our friends in bands." Christina adds, "There is so much truth in rock music. It's beautiful."
