New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Ghostly Int.) - Matthew Dear crafts beautifully textured electronic pop, displayed most recently on his 2nd full-length for Ghostly International, Asa Breed. The album is a completely fresh musical experience that has received an overwhelming amount of press accolades worldwide. In support of this popular release, Dear, also known for his stunning live performances, will be touring North America in the fall with a proper band he calls Matthew Dear's Big Hands. The group showcases Matthew on vocals/computer, John Gaviglio (Bear Vs. Shark, Canons) on bass/ supporting vocals and Mark Maynard (Canons) on drums/percussion.

Over the past eight years Matthew Dear has established himself as an internationally renowned producer with a constant stream of successful releases. Previous efforts under his own name include the extraordinary Leave Luck to Heaven album (garnering 4 stars in Rolling Stone) and remix duties for the Chemical Brothers, Hot Chip and the Postal Service. He has also reached techno superstardom with the classic club rocking single 'Mouth to Mouth' and album 'Suckfish' under his dance floor alias Audion (Spectral Sound).

Asa Breed is the most accomplished project to date from this prolific artist, garnering top marks from fans and media alike. This October will see a new single "Don And Sherri" featuring remixes by M.A.N.D.Y. (Get Physical), Hot Chip (DFA) and DJ Koze (Kompakt), coinciding with Matthew Dear's Big Hand's tour dates throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Audiences catching the live show can expect an engaging extension of samples from Asa Breed merged with live drums, bass, percussive instruments and supplemental vocals.

Touring with Matthew Dear's Big Hands is Mobius Band. The Brooklyn by-way-of-Massachusetts group, made their debut with Ghostly in 2005 with the acclaimed City Vs. Country EP and The Loving Sounds Of Static LP. October sees the release of their new LP, Heaven on Misra Records in association with Ghostly International. Mobius Band appear on Matthew's Asa Breed record, lending their keen musicianship to "Elementary Lover".
