Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ MCA Nashville) - It's that time of year again when the undisputed King of Country Music gives fans what they have been waiting for - dates for his much anticipated arena tour. Strait fans from West Virginia to California, Maryland to Florida and many states in between will not be disappointed. The Texas Troubadour is a proven must see, no matter what part of the country. The 2008 Nationwide arena tour will kick off January 10 in Austin Texas.

During his 2007 arena tour, Strait continued his streak of selling out and setting attendance records. His live shows are hailed by critics and fans and with 55 Number One songs (Billboard's all-time leader for number one country singles) and 74 Top 10 and 78 Top 20 hits, there's only the problem of what hits to cover each night. The CMA Hall of Famer and legendary entertainer has a gold mine of music to thrill audiences and leaves them begging for more.

The Patriot News in Hershey, Pa. proclaimed, "When it comes to bang for your buck, few artists deliver like country superstar George Strait!"

Since his debut in 1981, Strait has indeed been doing what comes naturally, putting together scores of hits that have earned him millions of fans worldwide and the unanimous respect of the critics. He has sold more than 62 million records and counting. With 32 different platinum or multi-platinum albums, he's earned the second most certifications of any artist in any genre, following only Elvis Presley.

George Strait continues his reign over country music with his latest single "Wrapped" topping the charts. Not only does this mark Strait's 55th number one, it is also the third single to hit number one from his 34th studio album It Just Comes Natural. The first single, "Give It Away", went to the top of the country singles chart in just 13 weeks, making it the fastest rising single of Strait's career. The song also received two Academy of Country Music Awards for "Song of the Year" and "Single Record of the Year." The album's title track "It Just Comes Natural" also reached number one. Though Strait already held the record for solo number one singles, his 55th notch ties Conway Twitty's record, which includes his number one duets with Loretta Lynn.

Throughout his career, George Strait has received more than 50 major entertainment industry awards and countless nominations. Strait has 70 Country Music Association nominations. He was the CMA "Vocalist of the Year" five times and the only artist in history to be so honored in two different decades. This year, Strait leads the CMA Nominations with seven including Entertainer, Male Vocalist, Album for It Just Comes Natural (co-produced by Tony Brown), Musical Event with Jimmy Buffett and Alan Jackson on the live version of "Hey Good Lookin'," and Single of the Year for "Wrapped." Strait could win two additional trophies as producer for Single and Album of the Year.

"We have been so fortunate over the past couple of years to tour with some amazing artists," says Kimberly Roads. "But to be invited to share the stage with an entertainer like George Strait who never fails to give fans what they want year after year, show after show and hit after hit, is truly an honor. He has the career we all strive for!"

After the monumental successes of the last two years, Little Big Town fully understands the meaning of "beyond our wildest dreams." As determined and talented as they are, the group never to dared dream they'd share songs and stages with heroes Lindsay Buckingham, John Mellencamp, Martina McBride, Kenny Chesney and now Superstar George Strait. With the sucess of platinum selling album THE ROAD TO HERE, they earned two Grammy Award nominations and a list of CMA, ACM and CMT nods including 2007 Academy of Country Music Awards Top New Vocal Group. The high-flying group now dares to dream without limits with their new Equity Records album, A PLACE TO LAND which will be released November 6. The critically- acclaimed band are up for 2007 Country Music Association Awards Vocal Group of the Year and Horizon Award.
