LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ CineMedia Promotions) - Lakeshore Records will release the original motion picture soundtrack for THINGS WE LOST IN THE FIRE on October 16, 2007. The soundtrack features original music by two time Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla and Swedish composer Johan Soderqvist. The release will be available exclusively through iTunes.

THINGS WE LOST IN THE FIRE is a new motion picture starring Academy Award winners Halle Berry and Benicio Del Toro, and David Duchovny. After the death of her husband, a widow (Berry) invites his childhood best friend (Del Toro) to move in with her and her children. Danish director Susanne Bier (AFTER THE WEDDING) makes her English-language debut with this drama.

Swedish composer Johan Soderqvist attended the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. He toured extensively around the world as an accomplished keyboard player, before concentrating on composing for film, television, and theater. His wrote his first score in 1991 for the film AGNES CECILIA. He has written six scores for director Susanne Bier, including BROTHERS, which earned him the UCMF Award for Best Film Music in Cannes as well as the Recontres cin�matographiques de Cannes Award for Best Music in Film.

Gustavo Santaolalla is a pioneer of Latin rock. His career began in 1967 as part of the Argentine group Arco Iris. He released his first solo record in 1981 and began composing for film in the late 1990s for such films as AMORES PERROS, 21 GRAMS, and THE MOTORCYCLE DIARIES. Santaolalla earned back to back Academy Awards in 2005 for BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN and in 2006 for BABEL.

Paramount Pictures presents THINGS WE LOST IN THE FIRE, in theaters on October 19, 2007. The Lakeshore Records soundtrack, featuring the score by Gustavo Santaolalla and Johan Soderqvist will be available exclusively through iTunes on October 16, 2007.
