Hamilton, ON. (Top40 Charts/ Steve Strongman Official Website) - Steve Strongman, one of Blues world's most electrifying newcomers, has snagged a Best New Artist nomination for the 11th Annual Maple Blues Awards to be held on January 21, 2008 in Toronto.

Nationally recognized, the Maple Blues Awards honours outstanding achievement in the field with nominees selected by a distinguished panel of blues DJs and journalists from across Canada. Online nation wide voting for winners by blues fans commences at midnight (EST) November 3rd 2007 (at www.mapleblues.ca) and ends at midnight (PT) December 8, 2007. Steve encourages everyone to log on and vote for their favourites!

Another thrill for Strongman is garnering four nominations from the Hamilton Music Awards panel, including: Guitarist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Blues album of the Year and Male vocalist of the Year. The awards celebrate everything great about music in 'The Hammer'. For those of you in regions across the country unfamiliar with Hamilton's music scene, some of the artists that call Hamilton home include: Teenage Head, Ian Thomas, Jim Witter, Harrison Kennedy, Kathleen Edwards, Jackie Washington, Tom Wilson and The Forgotten Rebels. This year's nominees include powerhouse talent like Daniel Lanois, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Finger 11, Dave Rave & Mark McCarron and Fred J. Eaglesmith just to name a few.

After a special performance Saturday November 3rd at Hamilton Place Studio Theatre, Hamilton On, Steve heads West for a tour of some of his favourite towns:

Wednesday November 21 - The Yale, Vancouver BC
