NASHVILLE, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Nashville Records) - Nashville Records (PINKSHEETS: NSHV) is proud to announce the signing of its new solo artist, Jason Perkins. Jason is an outstanding vocalist and musician. He has shared the stage with many of the big names including Brooks & Dunn, Lonestar, Chris LeDoux, Ricochet, Tracy Byrd, Blackhawk and many others. He has committed to a two-album deal, with extension option, that features all new material from various top Nashville writers who have charted numerous hits.
Jason is from a farming community just outside of a small town with a population of only about 350 people. He is a multi-talented musician, with a solid and powerful country & contemporary voice. He is immersed in country, southern rock, and blues. An incredible artist, he is also kind and charitable.
Jason and Nashville Records are about to release "The Blind Man Saw It All." It is a fun and interactive music video contest slated to launch on November 15th at blindmanvideo.com and will be promoted on Websites listed below. Jason says, "The song is ingenious and was a lot of fun to record." He claims the script & video are equally inventive.
There are various ways to participate. One contestant will guest appear in the music video. The contestant that most closely guesses the ending (epilogue) will win $5,000. The contestant that writes the best alternate ending will win $5,000 as well. After the winning alternate ending is selected we will film it and send it to editing to have it added to the current script & video and made available for downloads. For the Company the project is divided into three phases. For contestants the contest is divided into two phases.
Phase 1: Participants can hear free short clips or download a paid full version of the song for $1. The movie script & lyrics are free, and the HINTS WebPages are $1. The HINTS WebPages will assist in writing the prologue, epilogue and Alternate Ending. According to Jason Perkins, "The HINTS WebPages are laced with clues that are fun and challenging so you'll need a sharp eye."
In addition, the song itself lends clues. The Karaoke version of the song is also downloadable for $2. The project is more than just a fun contest... it is a co-venture between Nashville Records and Mountain Rose Ranch, a safe home being built for battered and abused women. It encompasses "write to fight" whereby the Company will provide an option for participants to include an extra dollar or two and these proceeds will be donated to Mountain Rose Ranch. The founder is a victim of past abuse herself and could see the desperate need to create a safe environment for other women and their children and offer them safety, legal help, comfort and love. Our actors and writers are also involved and we ask our readers and investors to assist in such a wonderful cause to this non-profit organization and give an extra dollar or two once downloads go live.
We will promote the contest on websites like www.youtube.com, www.myspace.com, www.video.google.com, www.video.yahoo.com, www.video.msn.com, www.dailymotion.com, www.metacafe.com, www.break.com, www.heavy.com, www.revver.com, www.veoh.com, www.gofish.com, www.blinkx.com, www.hulu.com, www.vimeo.com, www.blogtv.com, www.maniatv.com, www.livevideo.com, www.bebo.com, www.ourmedia.com, www.eyespot.com, www.vsocial.com, www.xanga.com and other sites as well. The song will be released to regional radio stations and further podcasts. The Company will also take full advantage of those newspapers that will publish editorials on our behalf. Several of those newspapers will begin editorials this month.
Phase 2: The Company will add the remaining interactive parts and participants can download a free video clip or a paid full version of the video for $1.50. In this phase we will announce the contest winners.
Phase 3: The Company will release the song to national radio. We may also elect to release it to potential video stations. "The Blindman" is an excellent candidate for short feature films and this option will likely be explored. In this phase the credits will be made public.
Participants may find "The Blindman" comical or shocking and solving this mystery will be a lot of fun for all participants. This particular contest is limited to ages 13 and up, due to scenes of two actors embracing & kissing and the script or tags using such lines as; "the two lovers embrace each other hotly" and "the Blindman plans his cheating wife's demise, or does he... ?" It may make viewers wonder how such a good guy like Jason Perkins could perform such a shocking song. "It's all in jest," laughs Perkins.
Nashville Records hired one of Nashville's top producers for Jason who is high on Jason's ability. Several clips of the song can now be heard at:
