Stonington, CT (Top40 Charts/ By Joe Spadaro/ American Laundromat Records) - American Laundromat Records and Pixiesmusic.com have co-produced a tribute to the PIXIES titled 'DIG FOR FIRE - A TRIBUTE TO PIXIES' featuring 15 new cover versions of Pixies songs by They Might Be Giants, OK Go, Mogwai, British Sea Power, The Rosebuds, Joy Zipper and more. The CD ($12.99 - $15.99 SRP) will be available worldwide November 27, 2007 and on iTunes November 13, 2007.
In addition to the 15 track album, iTunes will feature an exclusive iTunes bonus EP featuring 7 tracks not available on the CD.

Cover photo by Simon Larbalestier - the same photographer who contributed cover photos for Pixies 'Come On Pilgrim', 'Surfer Rosa', 'Doolittle', and numerous Pixies EP's.

American Laundromat Records (https://www.alr-music.com) is an indie-rock label based out of Southeastern, CT. Founded in April of 2004 by Joe Spadaro the label is best known for their popular 2005 compilation "High School Reunion - a tribute to those great 80's films" which featured indie-rockers Frank Black, Kristin Hersh, Matthew Sweet, The Dresden Dolls and others covering beloved tunes from some of the 80's most popular teen films. All Music Guide called the tribute 'One of the finest tributes ever amassed!'

Upcoming American Laundromat projects include 'Cinnamon Girl - Women Artists Cover Neil Young For Charity' featuring Tanya Donelly, Britta Phillips, Lori McKenna, Jill Sobule, Josie Cotton, Kristin Hersh, The Watson Twins and many more covering Neil Young's most popular songs for charity. All proceeds from the release are being donated to Casting For Recovery (https://www.castingforrecovery.org), a national non-profit charity for women who have had or have breast cancer. A February 12, 2008 release date is scheduled.
