NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ KOCH/ Commotion Records) - KOCH/Commotion Records announces the release of "Purple Violets," the official soundtrack to the film by independent filmmaker Ed Burns. The soundtrack is written and produced by PT Walkley and features songs by his side project, The Blue Jackets, and features a guest appearance by Sasha Bell on the song "Do You Remember."

The film's distribution is considered bold and groundbreaking as it will bypass a typical theatrical release, instead airing exclusively on iTunes November 20, 2007 for the first month. This is the first time in the history of iTunes a film has been released exclusively. The film, which received rave reviews at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival, stars Selma Blair, Ed Burns, Debra Messing, and Patrick Wilson and was produced by Wild Ocean Films.

The Blue Jackets are led by composer PT Walkley and feature a band of long time friends that accomplish a sort of country-tinged indie rock that has been featured in numerous films for Ed Burns including "Looking for Kitty" and "The Groomsmen."

PT Walkley comments on working on the "Purple Violets" soundtrack, "When Ed first showed me the opening scene of 'Purple Violets,' I was immediately moved by its dreamy imagery... without a word, the tone of the film was set, inspiring a bittersweet music cue that seemed to flow out in real time as I watched the clip."

Ed Burns remarks on using PT Walkley for the score, "When he presented us with the final version of the cue, and we played it against the picture, the movie gods smiled on us."

Track Listing:
1. Do You Remember
2. Purple Violets Theme

4. Way Back Home
5. Park Bench Heartache
6. Closure (I'll take it)
7. Pollen for Two
