Los Angeles, CA. (Top40 Charts/ CineMedia Promotions) - Lakeshore Records released the original motion picture soundtrack for MAMA'S BOY on November 27, 2007. The soundtrack features original music by Mark Mothersbaugh (THE LIFE AQUATIC WITH STEVE ZISSOU, RUSHMORE) and songs by The Jam, Billy Bragg, the Rheostatics, Generation X, The Scanners, The English Beat, and The Proclaimers.

Jon Heder, Diane Keaton, and Anna Faris star in this comedy about a 29-year-old man (Heder) who still lives with his mother. He has no desire to leave, until his mother's new boyfriend (Jeff Daniels) moves into their precious little world and forces him to grow up quick.

Emmy award-winning composer MARK MOTHERSBAUGH has written the music for more than 70 film and television projects. He first came to prominence in the music world in the 1970s as lead singer and keyboard player of the progressive new wave/rock band DEVO. In the mid-1980's, Mothersbaugh began to write music for commercials where he received a Clio award for his work. He then went on to composing music for numerous television projects including the memorable theme song and underscore for Pee-Wee's Playhouse, the popular children's series Rugrats.

In 1996, Mothersbaugh met Wes Anderson and scored the filmmaker's critically acclaimed BOTTLE ROCKET, which lead to a collaboration on films like RUSHMORE, THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS, and THE LIFE AQUATIC WITH STEVE ZISSOU. In 1990, he founded Mutato Muzika, a recording studio and music production company based in Los Angeles.
