Plainfield, NJ. (Top40 Charts/ Def Jam Records) - After gaining critical acclaim for his record wins in New York's notorious Fight Klub battles, New Jersey MC Sam Scarfo garnered a deal with Def Jam records under the new regime of Jay-Z and L.A. Reid. While putting the finishing touches on his major label debut album, Sam is setting up to release his DVD/Mixtape combo Scarlito's Way on December 18, 2007. He also has a new official single "Money In The Bag" with producer Indiana Jones.

In keeping with his own independent imprint Gorilla Pimp records, Sam Scarfo has been assertively defining his movement. He recently released his new mixtape album entitled Free Lunch, which offers fans some insight into the direction of his music. "I just want to give the people something, because people haven't heard me in a while," says Sam of the Free Lunch project. "I feel I owed it to my fans who have been riding with me from day one."

Sam Scarfo is keeping the streets and radio on fire with the singles "Where U From" and "Heartbreak Hotel," which are both featured on Free Lunch. To keep the flow, Sam is now releasing the new single "Money In The Bag." The full version of Free Lunch and the new single "Money In The Bag" are available for stream/download at www.tygereye.net/samscarfo.

The upcoming Scarlito's Way DVD/Mixtape is a testament to Sam's dedication to his craft, featuring videos for his street anthems like "Mobster," "I Don't Care (Run New Jers)" and "Hammers" featuring 40 Glocc. Sam identifies with the project as part of his commitment to represent New Jersey to the fullest. "With the 'Mobster' video I wanted it to be real street, but at the same time Hip Hop. It's very performance heavy. With 'Run New Jers' I wanted to show how strong and unified my movement is. The song speaks for itself. The bonus video 'Hammers' is just showing how connected I am nationwide. The West Coast is like my second home and 40 Glocc is my brother, so it's all love."

Hosted by DJ Kurupt, the 24-track Scarlito's Way mixtape includes several original songs with production from Havoc, Midi Mafia, Alchemist, Emile, Boola, Muscle Men and Formatt. Guest spots include Ne-Yo, Prodigy, 40 Glocc, Straps of Con-Air, Killa Black and Black Myth. Additionally, the DVD portion features the infamous Fight Klub battle between Sam Scarfo and Dipset's 40 Cal, and some personal time with Sam, taking his recent video journals from Youtube a step further.

"I want people to take Hip Hop artists more seriously, and not just into the jingle," explains Sam. "I'm going to give you the jingle, but I want the people to know me as a person as well. If you're from the streets or had some type of family or connection to street, then your gonna feel Sam Scarfo."

About Sam Scarfo
Sam Scarfo is a gifted songwriter who began his musical career with local emcees from his hometown of Plainfield, New Jersey. Currently, he is preparing for the release of his debut album on Def Jam, and recently released a mixtape project entitled Free Lunch. On December 18, 2007, Sam will unleash Scarlito's Way, a DVD and Mixtape chronicling his the growth of his music. He also recently released his new mixtape album entitled Free Lunch, which offers fans some insight into the direction of his music.

Bubbling under the surface for years, Sam Scarfo calmly created a movement powerful enough to catch the attention of acclaimed video director Bennie Boom. Sam signed a management deal with IBC Entertainment in 2003 with hopes of securing a major label deal. With limited media resources available in the Garden State, Scarfo decided to enter the underground New York City battle circuit to attract attention to himself and his own record label, Gorilla Pimp Recordings.

Just as he conquered Fight Klub in 2004 by winning the most money in the history of the now infamous battle ground, newly appointed Def Jam management Jay-Z and L.A Reid summoned Scarfo to their office. On Jay-Z's first day at work, both Jay and L.A. decided unanimously to sign the Brooklyn-born artist to a record contract and imprint deal that would include future releases from him and his four-man group, Con-Air.

Production credits on Scarfo's upcoming debut album include a who's who of Hip Hop's heatmakers such as Havoc of Mobb Deep, EZ LP, Midi Mafia, Ty Fyffe, Fred Wreck and Rick Rock. Special guest appearances thus far include Buju Banton, Patti LaBelle, Nate Dogg, Fabolous, Ghostface Killah and Prodigy of Mobb Deep. Sam Scarfo guarantees a musical product as potent as his predecessors from the early '90s.

As he has been preparing for the release of his full-length Def Jam debut, Sam Scarfo went on a national concert tour with Mobb Deep, amassed a collection of several successful mix tape releases, had song features on NBA Live 05, Madden 06 and Activision's True Crime: New York edition video games. Sam Scarfo's hit single "Who Want It" featuring Buju Banton appeared on the soundtrack of the 2006 urban action thriller Waist Deep starring Tyrese and Megan Good. He also secured a movie role in the upcoming comedy A Talent For Trouble starring Mekhi Phifer.

With Free Lunch in current rotation and Scarlito's Way set for release, Sam is confident that his work will result in a positive relationship with his fans. "I want people to take Hip Hop artists more seriously, and not just into the jingle," he explains. "I'm going to give you the jingle, but I want the people to know me as a person as well. If you're from the streets or had some type of family or connection to street, then your gonna feel Sam Scarfo."
