NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Sire Records) - Sire recording artists Armor For Sleep are heading back on the road in 2008 to tour with
Saosin to promote their new release, "Smile For Them" - the band's third studio album and major-label debut. The tour, which begins January 21st in Tucson, AZ, at the Rialto Theatre and ends February 14th in Chico, CA, will feature the Bled and Meriwether as opening acts on all dates.
A buzz has already been building around "Smile For Them." Alternative Press Magazine, which awarded the album four stars in its review, praised the album for its "sprawling slow-burners" and "infectious anthems," as well as its "sophisticated guitar-rock epics."
The video for the album's first single, "Williamsburg," premiered on MTV's "TRL" last month and can be seen on MTV2, MTVU, and MTV.com. Be sure to check out the December 14th issue of Rolling Stone magazine, in which lead singer Ben Jorgensen is featured in the Rock 'n Style section. The entire band also graces the cover of the upcoming January 2008 issue of Outburn Magazine.
Saosin, from Southern California, recently released their self-titled debut on Capitol Records. The band joined The Used and 30 Seconds to Mars on the 2007 Rockstar "Taste of Chaos" tour, as well as Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, and Taking Back Sunday on last summer's massive "Projekt Revolution" tour.
