Music Group) - AFA
Music Group, Ltd. is pleased to announce that the Company looks forward to 2008 following a pivotal 2007, which saw its transition from an artist management company to an all-encompassing digital record label. AFA
Music Group will officially launch its digital music label in early 2008 with the publishing of a new Web site that will provide music downloads, videos, merchandise and social networking. The new site will be the hub for products and information about the Company and its artists.
AFA Music Group has established the following goals for 2008: the successful launch of its digital music label in the first quarter of the year; an increase in the number of commercially viable artists on the AFA Music Group roster; the widespread release of its artists' recordings and videos in all radio, Internet and television markets; to increase revenue for AFA Music Group; to increase international awareness for the Company and its artists.
AFA Music Group, Inc. went public in September 2007, followed by the appointment of Tommy Henriksen as Senior Vice President. His knowledge of the music industry, paired with his ability to find new talent, gave AFA Music Group its creative soul to complement the Company's CEO, Jon Goldwater's, skills in leading the business.
The final months of 2007 saw remarkable success for the Company's artists. "Be With You" by Taxi Doll hit number 9 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart in November, and its songs were featured on several television shows underscoring the plotline. Ashley Alan-Lee, lead singer of AFA's The Audio Club, was featured in the September issue of Spin Magazine. The Audio Club also includes Mr. Henriksen, along with rapper/producer Brooks Buford. The band gained international acclaim with its "Something Serious" song and video in early 2007.
AFA Music Group brought in hundreds of thousands of dollars in record company advances for its artists in 2007. With the launch of the digital music label in 2008, the Company envisions revenue increases for the Company and its artists for the year ahead as its name becomes a standard in the digital music industry.
"It's been a phenomenal year for us in what has become a turning point in our brief history. We will gauge success in the coming year based on the success of our artists, and we expect our digital music label to make AFA Music Group a destination for original artists who strive for success with their own creative input," stated Jon Goldwater, CEO of AFA Music Group, Ltd.
