WASHINGTON, DC. (Top40 Charts/ XM Satellite Radio) - XM the nation's leading provider of satellite radio with more than 8.5 million subscribers, today announced a new channel featuring Spanish-language oldies hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Caricia, (XM channel 93), will feature timeless music from popular legendary artists, including: Julio Iglesias, Jose Feliciano, Roberto Carlos, Leo Dan, Jose Jose, Leonardo Favio, Armando Manzanero, Nino Bravo, Camilo Sesto and more.

"We're pleased to bring XM listeners the Caricia channel, where they will hear legendary artists from all over Latin America," said Jesus Salas, senior programming director, XM Satellite Radio. "The Caricia channel will deliver "musica del recuerdo" or timeless music that is certain to bring listeners back to the 60s, 70s and 80s."

XM offers the most Spanish language programming on satellite radio. XM's four channels of commercial-free Latin music include: Latin pop hits channel, Viva (XM 91); regional Mexican music channel, Aguila (XM 92); newly launched Spanish oldies hits channel Caricia (XM 93); and tropical dance music and reggaeton hits channel Caliente (XM 94).

XM also offers a Spanish-language world sports talk radio channel, XM Deportivo (XM 147), which features Spanish soccer coverage and sports information from around the world, and CNN En Espanol (XM 126) the 24-hour Spanish language news network where you will hear Alberto Padilla, Claudia Palacios, and Juan Carlos Arciniegas anchor news.
