AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (Top40 Charts/ Palace Sports & Entertainment) - DTE Energy Music Theatre remained the top selling and most attended amphitheatre in the world for the 17th consecutive year in 2007 according to the year-end charts of two leading entertainment trade publications, Pollstar and Billboard. In addition, The Palace was listed as number one for hosting the most shows in Billboard's year-end list of Top 10 Venues.

DTE Energy Music Theatre's 61 events and more than 634,000 in attendance earned it the top spot on Pollstar's Top 100 Worldwide Amphitheatre Venues chart in its 2007 Year End Ticket Sales rankings. The venue also topped the Total Attendance and Number of Shows categories in Billboard's Top 10 Amphitheatres list in the publication's 2007 Year End Charts.

Now in its 20th year of operation, The Palace upheld its hard-earned place as one of the world's top arenas by hosting the most shows and attracting the second highest total attendance of all venues listed on Billboard's Top 10 Venues of 15,001 or more. It was listed as the 11th best-selling U.S. arena in Pollstar's Top 100 Worldwide Arena Venues list.

Palace Sports & Entertainment's (PS&E) two renowned Michigan venues combined to host 21 concerts listed in Billboard's Top 25 Tours for 2007 (see attached list).

Combined with their sister venue, Meadow Brook Music Festival, the three facilities hosted 49 of the Top 100 Worldwide Tours on Pollstar's Year End Ticket Sales list. In addition, three other tours on the Top 100 list are currently scheduled to perform at The Palace this year: Bon Jovi on February 20, Three Days Grace/Breaking Benjamin on March 21 and Celine Dion on September 26.

PS&E's high ranking attendances and number of events help propel the organization to a number 16 listing for tickets sold on Pollstar's Top 100 Worldwide Promoters chart.

"In the 20 years we've run The Palace, and in the 17 summers we have operated DTE Energy Music Theatre, we have worked hard to provide the concert programming to satisfy our area's love of live music," said Tom Wilson, President and CEO of Palace Sports & Entertainment (PS&E). "Through all of the challenges our area has faced, we are grateful to the concert-goers and sponsors who have continued to support the shows at our venues. Without their enthusiastic patronage, we would be unable to host the quantity and quality of concerts which has earned us our honors."

PS&E ownership includes The Palace and DTE Energy Music Theatre, as well as the management of Meadow Brook Music Festival on the campus of Oakland University. Combined, PS&E's Michigan venues average 300 events and 3.5 million guests annually.

The Palace has been voted Arena of the Year eight times by Performance magazine, twice by Pollstar magazine and is listed annually among North America's top-grossing arenas. Voted "Best Outdoor Concert Venue" in Pollstar's 2000 Readers' Poll, DTE Energy Music Theatre has been listed as the nation's most attended amphitheater by Amusement Business/Billboard each of the 17 years of PS&E ownership.
