New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Thelemaque Records) - Victor Simonson, a classically trained musician and Associate Conductor of Oprah Winfrey's national production, The Color Purple, announced today the release of his debut CD, Victory! This multi-genre project available February 1, 2008 (online at www.victorsimonson.com) is sure to break the mold. Victory is a truly unique project showcasing a Neo-Eclectic sound that embraces a variety of music ranging from smooth jazz, classical, organ and gospel music to opera, acoustic jazz and inspirational songs.

"Everyone has talent, but what is rare is an artist like Victor Simonson who also has the courage to follow that talent to the place it leads," said Denyce Graves, (Soprano/Carmen.) In addition, Simonson hits a high note with younger generation. Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child called Simonson's music, "absolutely phenomenal." Victory is a CD that will connect with a wide range of fans.

Simonson believes many music lovers are ready for and will enjoy hearing a variety of music styles on one CD. Simonson comments, "We live in a challenging and diverse society. It is fitting to offer different sounds." The Eastman School of Music trained baritone titled the self-produced thirteen track project "Victory!" as a play on words of his first name, but also as a hopeful triumph to help break the mold of single focused music styles.

Simonson has worked on projects for gospel great Donnie McClurkin and mega star Beyonce's drummer - Kim Thompson, who will appear in upcoming New York area concerts. Simonson has established himself as a multi-genre musician and has served as the Music Director for Three Mo' Tenors, the Boys Choir of Harlem and Three Mo' Divas.

The native New Yorker studied piano and organ at Howard University as well as the trombone during his earlier years. His voice is like butter and his hands are capable of playing anything. Simonson hopes this bold move will help pave a way for other musicians and producers who have always wanted to create multi-genre music.

The New York City area free performances/concerts goers will see Simonson play the piano, conduct, sing, and play the organ while he showcases tracks from his new CD Victory! Concert-goers are asked to make a freewill/love offering, if possible. A portion of the proceeds from CD sales on February 1-3 will be donated to the hosting churches. The performances include:
