MIAMI, FL. (Top40 Charts/ Yoni Official Website) - South Florida based Indie Rocker, Yoni, has been busy with lots of extra-curricular activities since the release of his debut album, Extra Credit, late last year. The album was just licensed for airplay by some of television's hottest shows including The Hills, Newport Harbor: The Real
Orange County, The Real World, Road Rules, Human Giant, America's Psychic Challenge, and Bad Girls Club. In addition, Yoni's first single "
Twentysomething" was recently featured on PBS's Roadtrip Nation, and his pop/punk libertarian rant "Let The Devil Know," played during the final scene/end credits of the upcoming indie film "One-Eyed Monster" starring Ron Jeremy.
Yoni has been hard at work bringing his music to the ears of Twentysomethings across the country. Besides utilizing social networking sites including Myspace and Facebook, Yoni's single "Twentysomething" has just been licensed by TWENTYSOMETHING Inc., a renowned young adult consulting firm that has worked with companies including Apple, McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Toyota and Time Warner. Twentysomething, Inc's. CEO David Morrison says "Much like how Jack Kerouac and Bob Dylan gave voice to an earlier generation, Yoni's lyrics and tone express the multi-faceted emotions that currently define today's twentysomethings. Yoni's work, like its target audience, is raw, vulnerable, candid, and delightfully substantial. Reflecting realities of the digital age as well as the artist's own promotional savvy, Yoni is leveraging both traditional as well as non-traditional means to deliver his message to the masses."
When he's not performing at venues throughout South Florida such as Automatic Slim's in South Beach, Tobacco Road in Miami and Revolution in Ft. Lauderdale, Yoni teaches a "garage band" class to high school students at the Conservatory Prep Senior High in Davie, Florida. Here Yoni shows eager students/musicians the ins and outs of the recording/business sides of the industry.
