Live Oak, FL. (Top40 Charts/ ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND Official Website) - THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND will return to the road with a vengeance in 2008, starting with their own Wanee Festival in Live Oak, FL. They'll also launch their acclaimed annual New York City residency of 15 shows at the Beacon Theatre May 5 and perform at the Bonnaroo Festival June 14, with full summer dates to be announced.
2008 marks the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame group's 39th year as a touring unit, having formed March 26, 1969 in Jacksonville, FL, and they've been acclaimed as one of rock's greatest live acts since.

Fans will first see the ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND this year April 11-12 at the Wanee Festival in Live Oak, Florida, which they've organized and headlined the last three years. The bill this year includes returning headline favorites Gov't Mule, Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi's "Soul Stew Revival" and Oteil & the Peacemakers along with Bob Weir & Ratdog, moe., Levon Helm, JJ Grey & Mofro and more. For more information go to www.waneefestival.com.

The group-GREGG ALLMAN (vocals and keyboards), BUTCH TRUCKS (drums and tympani), JAIMOE (drums), WARREN HAYNES (vocals, lead and slide guitar), DEREK TRUCKS (slide and lead guitar), OTEIL BURBRIDGE (bass) and MARC QUINONES (congas and percussion) - will bring their "Mayhem in Manhattan" back to the Big Apple as they do every spring, with 15 shows at the Beacon Theatre kicking off May 5. Tickets for the Beacon Theatre shows go on sale this Saturday, February 9. This continues the annual tradition of multiple nights in New York City, which the group started doing in 1989.
