NEW YORK (Joan Jett Fans Website) - Rocker Joan Jett filed a breach of contract lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Wednesday (Oct. 30) against the producers of a film, Prey for Rock and Roll, on which she worked. Jett is suing GMR Productions as well as the financial backers of the film, claiming she was only paid $20,000 of the $100,000 she was due for work on the film's soundtrack as well as an appearance in the film, according to Reuters. According to the suit, producers allegedly told Jett that if they paid her the remaining amount she was owed, it would break the movie. Jett is reportedly suing for at least three times the $80,000 she is owed.
