Los Angeles, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Magic Molehill Productions) - Country music superstar Clint Black is set to showcase another skill when he writes and performs stand up comedy as one of 16 celebrities on the new television show, SECRET TALENTS OF THE STARS, premiering live Tuesday April 8th (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/tape delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

While Black is no stranger to the stage, the expectations change when he puts down the guitar. "Usually I don't prefer to be laughed at, but now it's a must!" he said. The television show will follow the artist on his journey through the comedy clubs of Nashville and Los Angeles, where he made a few surprise appearances as he prepared for the Tuesday night live telecast. "I've already played to a full house and an empty one. Everything is better when the audience shows up!" he added.

Each celebrity competing is coached by a professional from the field they've chosen and Black's comedy pal Wayne Federman is his coach. "There's no way I could have pulled off my first night at Zanies without him. Wayne Federman is the Comedy Whisperer," Black said.

As announced earlier this week, John O'Hurley ("Seinfeld," "Dancing With the Stars," "Family Feud") will host the show. Legendary entertainer Debbie Reynolds, Grammy-nominated singer Brian McKnight and Emmy-nominated television and film producer Gavin Polone are set to judge the weekly performances.

Each week, celebrities will compete in a tournament-structured format to determine who has the best unknown talent. Each performer on SECRET TALENTS OF THE STARS will fulfill his/her dream by practicing, and then performing live, many supported by a headline production troupe. Each performance will be critiqued by Reynolds, McKnight and Polone - but it's the viewers who get to vote for the celebrity that impresses them the most. Each week, the "Viewer Vote" will determine which celebrities move on in the competition, and who will go home.

On the first week's show, Black will appear alongside celebrities, Sasha Cohen (Olympic ice skating medalist), who will show her agility as a contortionist; Mya (singer/actress), who will demonstrate her tap-dancing prowess and George Takei (actor), who will croon as a country singer. Viewer votes will determine two semi-finalists, who will then move on to the next round of competition.

SECRET TALENTS OF THE STARS is produced by Magic Molehill Productions, Inc., in association with Robyn Nash Productions and Don Weiner Productions. Robyn Nash and Don Weiner are executive producers.
