Herbie Hancock Performs Songs From Grammy Album Of The Year 'River' On 2008 Summer Tour

NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Jazz visionary Herbie Hancock will perform selections from his GRAMMY award-winning "Album of the Year" 'River: The Joni Letters' (Verve) on tour this summer. His band of renowned musicians Dave Holland (bass), Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), Chris Potter (saxophone) and Lionel Loueke (guitar) will be joined by guest vocalists, including "knock out voice" (People, 4.17.08) Sonya Kitchell and Amy Keys.

Hancock's "fresh interpretations" (USA Today) of Joni Mitchell's songbook led one critic to exclaim, "at last an interpreter really grasps the key to Mitchell's genius" (Los Angeles Times).
