BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Sire Records) - TEGAN AND SARA have confirmed a live appearance on "The
Tonight Show with Jay Leno" set for Wednesday, April 23rd. "The
Tonight Show" airs Monday through Friday at 11:35 p.m. on NBC. Check local listings for details.
In great news for fans, Tegan and Sara have recorded a live session that will be made available for purchase exclusively via iTunes beginning Tuesday, April 29th. "LIVE SESSION EP: TEGAN AND SARA" will feature five songs: "The Con," "Nineteen," "Back In Your Head," "Burn Your Live Down," (all from "THE CON") and "Where Does The Good Go?" (from "SO JEALOUS"). Tracks from the iTunes session were recorded acoustically on a rainy afternoon in San Francisco on the final date of their last U.S. tour. "LIVE SESSION EP: TEGAN AND SARA" will be released to coincide with their upcoming American tour.
New dates have been added to the itinerary, including co-headlining shows with their friends Death Cab for Cutie in Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. Tegan and Sara will also perform at this year's Bonnaroo Festival in Tennessee as part of their run of summer festivals, including Sasquatch in Washington State and Coachella in Indio, Calif.
As previously announced, Tegan and Sara will play select dates on this summer's True Colors Tour, which also features Cyndi Lauper, B-52s, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Indigo Girls, Regina Spektor, and others. These shows promise to be special as they will be mostly acoustic and performed as a trio. Dates are as follows:
