Los Angeles, CA. (Top40 Charts/ CineMedia) - Lakeshore Records to be the first label to release recording on iTunes utilizing SurCodeT for Dolby Pro LogicII technology with the upcoming soundtrack for PATHOLOGY (available April 22).
The soundtrack will be available as an iTunes Exclusive Dolby Pro Logic II score album and was composed by Robert Williamson and Johannes Kobilke. Wolfgang "Amadeus" Aichholz (SIN CITY, THE ANT BULLY) mixed the music for surround sound.

The SurCode for Dolby Pro Logic II software matrix encoder allows broadcasters, game developers, video producers, and audio professionals everywhere to easily encode surround sound mixes into stereo sound files. The result is completely stereo-compatible and can be decoded by virtually every Dolby Digital home theatre system sold today. SurCode for Dolby Pro Logic II is a fully licensed software only version of the Dolby Pro Logic II encoder.

Co-Composer Robert Williamson got his start in music playing bass in various bands in Seattle in the mid 90's sharing bills with bands like Nirvana and Soundgarden. He became infatuated with electronic music and started Eat Knowledge recordings. In 2000 Robert wrote the script for the movie DANDELION and as the movie reached final stages of editing he decided to score it as well. The film debuted at Sundance in 2004. He went on to score the film THE YOUTH IN US, a series for MTV, contributed songs to UNDERWORLD EVOLUTION, wrote original music for a documentary about Hurricane Katrina with director and R.E.M front man Michael Stipe, and contributed additional score for the film CRANK.

Johannes Kobilke began playing and improvising piano at the age of six. During his teenage years he began writing original compositions and working in electronic music production. Johannes also performed as keyboard and piano player in several bands and as singer in a classical choir. He studied film music and sound design at Filmacademy Ludwigsburg/Germany. Since completing his studies in 1999, Johannes has composed the music for more than 25 television movies in Germany and for commercials and industrials for companies like BMW, Lexus, Lamborghini, Siemens, Burger King, AUDI, and VW. PATHOLOGY is the first Hollywood film Johannes has composed.

MGM presents PATHOLOGY, in theaters on April 18. Milo Ventimiglia portrays a young intern, newly arrived at the University Hospital in Philadelphia, who stumbles onto a psychopathic group of colleagues playing a vile game. They regularly select one of their members (on a rotational basis) to commit the "perfect murder," while the rest use forensic methods to try to determine exactly how the homicide was executed. Alyssa Milano, (of TV's Who's The Boss? and Charmed), co-stars as Ventimiglia's fiancee, while Johnny Whitworth and Lauren Lee Smith are among the perpetrators.

Lakeshore Records is the independent recorded music division of Lakeshore Entertainment, the film production company. Lakeshore Records is the producer of soundtrack albums for films produced by every major studio and many of the most respected independent production companies

Dolby Pro Logic II encoding is the world's fastest-growing matrix surround technology, and can be decoded by virtually every Dolby Digital home theater system sold today.
