London, UK. (Top40 Charts/ Wolfgang's Vault) - Wolfgang's Vault (www.WolfgangsVault.com), the online home for live music, today announced that it has added two exclusive concert catalogues, comprising 300 new gigs, to what has become known as the largest collection of live music recordings and vintage memorabilia in the world today.
Available for free streaming or download, the new concerts more than double Wolfgang Vault's downloadable archive and comprise free gigs from San Francisco's Noisepop Festival 2007. They also include a whole host of new-band performances from two year old indie site Daytrotter.com that boasts sets by Will Oldham, Andrew Bird and The Cold War Kids amongst its 250 or so recordings so far.
UK music enthusiasts can experience some of the greatest live acts of the past 40 years on Wolfgang's Vault via free streaming of all concerts, including classic live concerts from John Lennon at Madison Square Garden in 1972, Pink Floyd from 1970, the Who from 1968 and others. In addition, fans can also browse soon-to-be-classics from emerging artists such as Vampire Weekend, the National and Okkervil River or purchase from a treasure trove of vintage rock memorabilia.
Fans can search these gigs in a newly renovated 'Concert Vault' which makes it easy to find, stream for free, download and embed their favourite live music.
"The total collection of live music now spans five decades with performances reaching back to 1965 and extending through today. Our new additions make it as easy to discover exciting new acts as it is to find rare classic gigs from rock icons," said Bill Sagan, CEO of Wolfgang's Vault. "We are continuing to expand Wolfgang's Vault as the global destination for live music, building the only online venue where you can experience the past, present and future of live music."
Notes to editors: What began with the personal archives of U.S. concert promoter Bill Graham now includes 10 different archives, including an ever-growing catalogue of live recordings by new talent captured before the rest of the world discovers them. Music lovers find free music streaming online here with hundreds of concert recordings from the last 40 years, digital downloads, and thousands of rock posters, photos and t-shirts available for purchase.
