Amanda Palmer To Play With The Boston Pops

(Top40 Charts/ Roadrunner Records) - The Dresden Dolls' songwriter/vocalist/keyboardist Amanda Palmer is set to play two very special, once-in-a-lifetime shows with the legendary Boston Pops on June 19th and June 20th as part of the BSO's Edgefest series, which continues to redefine the boundaries of rock and tradition. The shows will take place at Symphony Hall in Boston.

2008 has been an unbelievable year for Amanda Palmer thus far, and shows no signs of slowing down: in addition to starting an innovative fan-generated merchandise company called Post-War Trade, the Dolls released a new record entitled No, Virginia this May, full of new songs, b-sides and previously unreleased material from the last two years. Amanda and drummer Brian Viglione hit the road soon after the album's release for a string of phenomenal shows across the West Coast, and now Amanda is back in her hometown of Boston, preparing for one of the biggest, most prestigious musical undertakings of her career.
