NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Vermillion Media) - Vermillion Media is pleased and proud to announce the addition of Limerick, Ireland, alternative rock band Seneca to its roster of indie-music clients. Seneca's debut CD release Sweeter Than Bourbon is a mix of indie guitars, radio friendly melodies, heart-warming lyrics and an emotional authenticity that enhances the already well-crafted songs and musical production. Most often compared to alternative acts Snow Patrol and Arcade Fire, this Limerick four-piece is one of the most promising and talented Irish bands to have emerged in recent years.

Seneca is: Rob Hope on guitars, vocals and keys, Yvonne Conaty on bass, vocals and keys, Brendan O'Gorman on guitar and Daragh O'Loughlin on drums.

Seneca's debut single 'Smile' - released late 2007 - entered the Irish Radio Chart at 33 and climbed to it's top position of 27. Since then Seneca has been actively touring their home country headlining such popular rock venues as Crawdaddy; Cyprus Avenue; Roisin Dubh; Dolan's and Auntie Annies.

"Smile… with a weeping bass and intricate silvery guitar scales, [sees] lead singer Rob Hope's agile voice moves steadily up the octave before flinging itself headlong into a chalky falsetto in the chorus." HotPress

On June 13, 2008 the band is scheduled to release their second Irish single 'Clarity'. Insiders expect Clarity to make an immediate impact on Irish radio and work it's way swiftly into the Top Ten on the Irish Charts.

Capitalizing on the momentum generated in Ireland Seneca is formalizing plans to release Sweeter Than Bourbon in the U.S. and a national tour will follow. Music ships to Triple A Radio in the US the week of June 13 and the full CD will be available for sale worldwide via CDBaby.com, Amazon.com, iTunes, and at all live shows.

Tentative tour plans include a September 2008 start date in West Coast markets Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Serving as the band's Public Relations and Publicity firm, the Vermillion staff will work closely with Robert Dooney of In-Outdoor, Seneca's management and booking company, to properly position the band within the broad and multi-layered landscape of the U.S. music market.

"By mixing Snow Patrol's anthemic and grandiose melodies with Damien Rice's heart-warming and endearing lyrics, Seneca have an indie yet commercial sound that screams for the same kind of international success as the aforementioned acts." Limerick Independent

"It's 15 years since the Cranberries went supernova, and the feeling in Limerick is that it could be time for another local act to make the big step up. One of the names being mentioned in dispatches, is Seneca." Hot Press Magazine Feb. 2008
