NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Columbia Records) - The Ting Tings, the UK's hottest new musical export, are quickly becoming 2008's most refreshing summer sensation with a newly expanded US tour, television appearances and online exposure, a string of popular singles, and the recent stateside arrival on June 3 of their No 1 UK chart-topping debut album, "We Started Nothing."

The Ting Tings launched their current North American tour - their first since a small round of dates in March surrounding the duo's electrifying performances at the 2008 South By Southwest (SxSW) music festival - with their US network television debut on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on June 6. The group is slated appear on NBC's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" on July 28.

Jules De Martino and Katie White, aka the Ting Tings, have been consistently winning over critics and audiences alike with their irresistible blend of electro-pop sounds and dance-punk attitude. The Ting Tings will expand their US club tour into July and August with dates including the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago and a show at the McCarren Park Pool in Brooklyn with Columbia labelmates MGMT. At 8pm (7pm Central) on June 13, MTV will kick off its "F'N MTV" summer music series with "F'N MTV Premieres ... " debuting the Ting Tings' official music video for "Shut and Let Me Go," the track driving the current iPod ad campaign, with the Tings themselves slated to provide an on-air live introduction for the clip. Official sponsors of "F'N MTV Premieres ... " are Verizon Wireless and Rhapsody.

On June 16, MTV will begin featuring the Ting Tings on "Discover and Download," a multi-platform emerging artist designation that lives and breathes new music across every MTV screen. Recent "Discover and Download" artists have included Duffy, Tokio Hotel, Vampire Weekend, Shawty Lo, the Spill Canvas and Leona Lewis.

Throughout the month of June, the Ting Tings will appear as Rhapsody's "Ones To Watch" as selected by the Rhapsody editorial team.

In April 2008, Apple began running an iPod + iTunes commercial (" ... the musical equivalent of being chosen for Oprah's Book Club" according to Paper magazine) featuring silhouetted dancers grooving to the Ting Tings' "Shut Up and Let Me Go," a key track from "We Started Nothing." The Ting Tings' "Great DJ" became an iTunes Single of the Week.

By June 10, "Shut Up and Let Me Go" had been added to virtually every MTV platform including MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits and VH1.

Both "Shut Up and Let Me Go" and "We Started Nothing"'s title track were featured in episodes of the CW's cult teen television drama "Gossip Girl" while the Ting Tings' "Be The One" was heard on the April 26 episode of "One Tree Hill."

"Shut Up and Let Me Go" has sold more than 100,000 digital copies while two of the Ting Tings' other signature songs - "Great DJ," and the No 1 UK single "That's Not My Name" - have also been enjoying brisk digital sales in the US. "Shut Up and Let Me Go" has already cracked several Billboard charts including Hot Digital Songs (No 17), Pop 100 (No 37) and the Billboard Hot 100 (No 55).

Released everywhere on June 3, "We Started Nothing," the Ting Tings debut album, has reached No 13 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums Chart and No 7 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Chart. The album hit No 5 on the iTunes Alternative Album chart and No 26 on the iTunes Album chart.

"Shut Up and Let Me Go" and "Great DJ" have been garnering coast-to-coast US radio play with AAA ads in Chicago, Philadelphia, Albany, Minneapolis, Charlottesville and Salt Lake City; Alternative ads in San Diego, Columbus, Kansas City, Seattle, Honolulu and more; with Sirius Hits adding the Ting Tings to its Top 40 format.
