HOUSTON, TX. (Top40 Charts/
Music World Entertainment) - IB3, a 21-year-old female rapper born and raised in the Third Ward, debuted her first video, "Your Fault," online resulting in immediate fan reaction. The raw feeling video has received over 7,000 views in under a week. The first 2,000 views were captured in the first 24 hours following release.
IB3, known for delivering witty one-liners, is brusque and edgy, yet feminine. "Your Fault," produced by Houston newcomer, Phil Blackman, covers the emotional topic of absentee fathers, a topic that hits close to home for this talented young rapper. The powerful single is a brilliant statement of what is to come from one of Houston's most promising emcees.
"Your Fault," the single, will be available on iTunes on June 17, 2008, the video on July 8, 2008. "Rep Tha South," which was featured on MTV's hit series, "My Super Sweet 16" on June 8, 2008, will be available on iTunes on June 24, 2008. IB3 will be performing this powerful track on Father's Day at St. John's Downtown Church. St. John's is the home of her Pastor, Music World Entertainment's very own Pastor Rudy Rasmus.
On Saturday, June 14, 2008, from 2:00pm - 6:00pm, IB3 will be holding live band auditions for promotional and performance opportunities that will support her forthcoming debut album, "Honorable Mention." Auditions will take place at The House Of Dereon Media Center located on the Music World Campus at 1505 Hadley Street at LaBranch in Houston, TX. She is currently in the studio writing and recording new tracks for the album.
Getting into the studio with legendary rap artist Pos from De La Soul and producer Cameron Wallace (Beyonce's "Upgrade You") has resulted in a spell-binding hip-hop creation by IB3. One listen to the percussion heavy, head nodding, live instrumentation of the lead single "Like I'm From the H" confirms IB3's necessary role in hip-hop. "Honorable Mention" will be released later this year as a digital-only release through Mathew Knowles' Hits Revealed digital label.
