BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Reprise Records) - "Indestructible," the fourth album from multi-platinum hard-rock band Disturbed, is the best-selling album in the country this week, debuting atop the Billboard Top 200 album chart at No. 1 and racking up sales of more than 253,000 copies in the U.S. alone. "Indestructible's" first-week figures have surpassed the first-week total sales of the band's previous No. 1 release, 2005's "Ten Thousand Fists," by more than 15,000 units - an impressive feat amid a challenging sales climate in the music industry. Disturbed self-produced the album, which is the Chicago quartet's third consecutive No. 1 album, making them one of only six other rock bands in history to earn three straight No. 1 debuts with studio albums.

The band's two previous platinum albums, 2002's "Believe" and 2005's "Ten Thousand Fists," both debuted at No. 1. Disturbed's 2000 debut album, "The Sickness," has been certified triple-platinum by the R.I.A.A. with sales closing in on four million. Formed in Chicago in 1996, Disturbed has sold a collective 10 million albums worldwide - a testament to both their talent and loyal fan base.

"Indestructible" also debuted at No. 1 in Internet album sales, and No. 2 in digital album sales, and did brisk business in pre-order album sales at BestBuy.com and Amazon.com, iTunes and the band's official website, disturbed1.com. Internationally, "Indestructible" charted at No. 1 in Canada and New Zealand, debuted Top 20 in the U.K., Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Japan and is expected to be Top 5 in Australia.

"Indestructible's" first single, "Inside The Fire," is in its seventh week at No. 1 on Billboard's Active Rock radio and in its sixth week at No. 1 on Mediabase's Active Rock chart with no sign of slowing down on either chart. Recently added at influential Los Angeles radio station KROQ, "Inside the Fire" is the band's sixth Number One track at that format and fastest-rising chart-topper to date. Disturbed's previous No. 1 singles are "Down With the Sickness," "Prayer," "Liberate," "Stricken," and "Land of Confusion." The video for "Inside the Fire" is currently in rotation on the Fuse network's main playlist and a fixture on MTV2's Rock Countdown. The band will perform the song live on Spike TV's "Guys' Choice Awards" airing on June 22nd.

Disturbed, which is singer David Draiman, guitar player Dan Donegan, drummer Mike Wengren and bass player John Moyer, is known for its punishingly powerful music and Draiman's passionate, socially conscious lyrics. The band performed for the troops in Kuwait on March 10th as part of Operation MySpace, which has been streamed over 2.7 million times on MySpace, where Disturbed is the social networking site's most-trafficked rock band. On May 29th, Disturbed performed online at Deep Rock Drive in Las Vegas to a worldwide viewing audience logging in from 70 different countries, with a record breaking over 1.3 interactive events during the broadcast. The band is Xbox LIVE's Artist of the Month for June.

The band is currently the cover story of Revolver, Guitar World, Drum! and Metal Hammer magazines, and will also be featured on Revolver's cover next issue as part of the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival Tour issue, and will be the cover of Metal Edge's August issue.

Disturbed is now on tour in Europe in support of "Indestructible," and will kick off a co-headlining stint on this summer's Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival beginning July 9th in Seattle.
