NEW YORK (J. Marr Official Website) - Ex-Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr and his new band the Healers have announced initial 2003 tour dates in support of their upcoming album Boomslang, scheduled for release February 4 on ArtistDirect's iMusic label. The album features 11 new songs recorded by the group, which also includes Who touring drummer Zak Starkey (son of the Beatles' Ringo Starr); and bassist Alonsa Bevan, formerly of Kula Shaker. Marr has already performed several of the songs live, including "Down On The Corner," which appeared on Neil Finn's live album Seven Worlds Collide Marr & the Healers are also slated to open Australian dates next year for Pearl Jam.
