BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Warner Bros. Records) - Warner Bros. Records recording artist Eric Hutchinson will hit the road with Missy Higgins this summer. The tour kicks off July 10th in Madison, WI and will conclude in Alexandria, VA on August 3rd. Hutchinson, who is currently on a co-headlining tour with Marie Digby, will also play the first annual Mile High Music Festival in Commerce City, CO on July 19th.

He was the No 1 Most Added new artist at AAA radio last week with "Rock & Roll," the first single from his full-length debut, "Sounds Like This." The accompanying video was recently lensed by U.K. director David Mullett (Babyshambles, Lucky Soul, Vinyl). "Rock & Roll" will be used in a scene and in the end credits of "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2," which is due in theaters August 8th and stars Amber Tamblyn ("The Grudge 2"), America Ferrera ("Ugly Betty"), Blake Lively ("Gossip Girl") and Alexis Bledel ("Gilmore Girls"). The song has also been tapped for the film's soundtrack, trailer and ad campaign.

A compelling live performer, Hutchinson has already toured with OneRepublic, Blind Melon, and Jack's Mannequin and has been hailed as "undeniably charismatic" in concert by The Washington Post. "From start to finish, Hutchinson, a multi-instrumentalist, engages with exuberant, piano-based tunes glimmering with elements of reggae, gospel and soul," said The Baltimore Sun, while the Los Angeles Times praised his "playful R&B-tinged rhythms."

Hutchinson recorded "Sounds Like This" with producers Will Golden (Joe Purdy) and Paul Kolderie (Radiohead) and initially released it last fall on his own label, Let's Break Records. Soon the album was breaking records - landing at No 5 on iTunes' Top 10 album chart to become the highest-charting album by an unsigned act in iTunes history. It debuted at No 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, at No 5 on Billboard's Digital chart and entered the Billboard 200 at No 134 - with no physical product in stores at the time. Warner Bros. snapped him up and released "Sounds Like This" last month without changing a single note.
