New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Knock, knock: Alex Woodard will embark on a "house tour" in July to play the living rooms of his luckiest fans. Traveling across the west, Woodard will give an acoustic performance of songs from his upcoming self-titled CD, surrounded by his fan's furniture and friends.

"I'm looking forward to connecting with my biggest fans on their home-turf," says Woodard. "And maybe a home-cooked meal while I'm on the road." He'll also be doing a number of tour dates with his band, including New York City and his native San Diego.

Woodard, who penned all the songs on the new CD, has drawn comparisons to Tom Petty and John Mellencamp for his honest, gritty lyrics and undeniable hooks. He was recently awarded Songwriter Universe's "Best Song" honors for his current single "Beautiful Now."
This is the second time Woodard has won this award – he previously won in 2003 for "Every Road." Woodard's self-titled CD hits August 19th on Woodshack/Adrenaline Records. Sara Watkins from Grammy-winning Nickel Creek lends her vocals and fiddle to "Reno" while Brian Young (Fountains of Wayne, the Posies) mans the drums.

Alex Woodard Tour Dates:
July 10 Denver, CO House Concert
July 11 Steamboat Springs, CO Mahogany Ridge
July 18 Seattle, WA House Concert
July 19 Sand Point, ID House Concert
July 22 New York, NY Knitting Factory
