Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Villa One Records) - Villa One Records (www.villaonerecords.com) makes its first impression on the country music scene with the release of "Hot Women Cold Beer" from flagship artist Frank Ortega.
Born in Tempe and raised in Phoenix, recording artist Frank Ortega has the bragging rights to a little piece of Arizona history, where the Ortega family name is woven throughout the state's heritage. Frank is the son of Mexican immigrants, Joe and Jessie Ortega, who legally became American citizens in 1952, when his mother came to America at age thirteen to pick cotton. His father served in the Air Force and held one job throughout his entire life, working for Sears & Roebuck.
Frank's admiration for the country music legends (Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and Buck Owens) coupled with his Latin background give him the tenacity to dig his heels deep into the American country music roots while expanding the horizon to bring a new sound to the ever growing Latin population.
The fun-loving, energetic and tantalizing country single ("Hot Women Cold Beer") from Ortega was released to radio in mid-June and has been dubbed the party song of the summer. A co-write with Grammy-nominated artist/writer James House ("Broken Wing," Martina McBride), "Hot Women Cold Beer" is the ultimate honky-tonk anthem featuring subject matter that naturally goes better together.
"I've got Frank's new song 'Hot Women Cold Beer' in the CD player in my truck and it makes me thirsty and frisky every time I play it," - Ira Dean (formerly of Trick Pony) introduces.
The single was produced by James House and most recently featured in Country Weekly's "Listen Up!" (6/30/08 issue).
"Frank delivers music with a real-world feel while sharing a range of emotions through his strong, rich voice." - Larry Holden, Editor, Country Weekly
"Hot Women Cold Beer" is one of 13 songs slated to appear on the Arizona native's yet-to-be-titled CD scheduled for an October release. The CD features songs from some of Music City's greatest tunesmiths including Bart Allmand, Ira Dean, Jon Randall and Kim Tribble.
Frank is currently on a radio tour that will take him to Arkansas, Missouri and across the Southeast region. Grassroots Promotion is heading up the radio promotion campaign.
