LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Drive Thru Records) - Not only has, "I Feel Weird," been recently added to the MTVu rotation, Steven's Untitled Rock Show on Fuse, with spins at MTV2 Subterranean to follow, but Monday, July 7th marks Steel Train's television debut on NBC's, Late Night with Conan O'Brien!

Labeled as, "Relentlessly sincere and introspective," by Entertainment Weekly, Steel Train's sophomore album, Trampoline, recently released on Drive-Thru Records, delivers the sounds and spirit of some of the band's favorite music styles, including British and American classic rock, folk-rock, psychedelia, pop and alternative. Produced by Mark Trombino (Rilo Kiley, Jimmy Eat World), Trampoline is a wonderfully layered and versatile album that reveals the uplifting, self-medicating message of an emerging songwriter. "Alternately delicate and robust, precious and grandiose, Trampoline furthers Steel Train's journey into an eccentric place where Brian Wilson, Jellyfish, and John Fogerty all share the same Brooklyn rehearsal space," All Music Guide. As Steel Train just wrapped up the first leg of their North American tour with The Spill Canvas and Ludo, the band will embark on a second leg with The Hush Sound, including two dates with O.A.R.

Steel Train has played a vast number of music festivals including, Warped Tour, Lollapalooza, and Wakarusa 2008, not to mention their three appearances at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. Esquire.com describes the band as, "a brilliant slice of pop nirvana that perfectly fills the gap between the Flaming Lips' Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots and Tom Petty's Greatest Hits." The band has also shared the stage with Dashboard Confessional, Hellogoodbye, The Flaming Lips, The Violent Femmes, My Morning Jacket, Something Corporate, and Matisyahu, among many others.

While the songs sound consistently joyous, the lyrics are hyper-realistic addressing the events that can shatter our world and break our hearts as well as focusing on the forces that lift us up and offer a second chance. Throughout the album, urgent guitars, euphoric melody laden keyboards, and yearning vocals cut through on tracks like "Alone on the Sea," "Kill Monsters in the Rain," and "Black Eye." However, the band agrees that the track which embodies the album is "I Feel Weird," an energized pop number full of piano, and xylophones. Trampoline is a bold departure from the band's past excursions, and showcases a new Steel Train, musically and philosophically.
