Seattle, WA. (Top40 Charts/ Sky Cries Mary Official Website) - Ambient rockers Sky Cries Mary will be playing the stage of the venerable Seattle venue Neumos next month on August 9th at 8PM. Civita and Voyager One will be opening the evening. Tickets are still available for purchase at https://www.skycriesmary.com/. They are $13 in advance and $14 at the door on the 9th. Neumos is located at 925 E Pike St. in downtown Seattle. The band plays Neumos at least twice a year to sold-out crowds. They released their sixth studio album, Small Town in March via their own label, Hoodooh Records. Small Town builds on the Sky Cries Mary tradition of creating lush soundscapes, rich with an array of influences from rock to folk music and electronica and features 13 new songs, plus a video. Also included are new mixes of the previously released singles "Small Town" and "Find a Way." This music is for fans of ambient rock acts such as My Bloody Valentine and Spiritualized. For more information or to purchase a copy of the record online, please visit www.skycriesmary.com/hoodooh. Sky Cries Mary began in the late 80s' along with many of Seattle's underground-turned mainstream elite of the 90's. They've shared the stage with Green Day, Hole, 311 and Weezer and many others but have continued in stamina while other acts have waned in this new digital era. Their name is inspired by the song, 'The Wind Cries Mary,' written by perhaps the most influential Seattle psychedelic rock innovator: James Marshall Hendrix. Sky Cries Mary strives to continue that tradition: not just in their songwriting and showmanship but behind the scenes as well. Sky Cries Mary has sold out countless shows in venues of all sizes, played internationally and released five records with and without the assistance of major labels. Their music has also been featured in film (Bourne Supremacy) and performed on TV (Conan O'Brien, Jon Stewart Show).
