NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Iconix Brand Group) - Iconix Brand Group, Inc. announced today that multi-platinum, award winning recording artist and actor, Jesse McCartney will appear in its BONGO brand's fall 2008 advertising campaign. McCartney is the first solo male spokesperson to appear in the brand's advertising campaign. Past Bongo spokeswomen have included Kim Kardashian, Nicole Richie, Kristin Cavallari and Rachel Bilson.

McCartney will be featured, along with the "Fab Five Fit" girls in Bongo's multi-media advertising campaign debuting in September issues of fashion and lifestyle magazines as well as on the internet.

McCartney currently has the No 1 radio hit at Top 40 with his song, "Leavin," which has sold nearly one million digital singles on iTunes. His current CD "Departure" is a new and edgier pop/R&B sound reflecting McCartney's growth as both a singer and songwriter.

Commenting on his Bongo campaign, Mr. McCartney stated, "There's nothing better than a girl in a t-shirt and jeans so the Bongo shoot was a dream come true for me!"

The campaign showcases the pop star surrounded by five gorgeous models wearing Bongo's "Fab Five Fits" jeans, a basic five-pocket denim program with different fits that are sure to highlight every girl's curves. The collection will be in-store this August and is playfully labeled Feisty, Fearless, Fabulous, Flirty and Fierce. The models are wearing Bongo footwear, sportswear, accessories and handbags in addition to the jeanswear. The campaign was shot by renowned rock-n-roll photographer Moshe Brakha at a private estate in New York.

Dari Marder, Chief Marketing Officer, Bongo, commented, "This season, we made a departure from the usual "It" girl in our Bongo campaign and instead chose to feature one of music's hottest stars and the "It" guy who currently has the No 1 song at Top 40 radio, Jesse McCartney. At 21, Jesse is incredibly accomplished having starred on a hit TV series, hugely successful, platinum debut album and now this No 1 hit. We are thrilled to partner with Jesse not only on this campaign but on his upcoming tour, as well. He's also proved to be a great proponent of the Bongo Fab Five Fits."

McCartney will make personal appearances on behalf of Bongo as well as participate in other events to celebrate his partnership with the brand. Bongo will promote Jesse McCartney when he goes on tour this August, co-headlining with Jordin Sparks.

McCartney has also voiced two main characters in films this past year as Theodore in Alvin and the Chipmunks and also JoJo in Horton Hears A Who. His independent film, Keith is being premiered in Las Vegas on September 13th at Mandalay Beach Resort.
