DENVER, CO. (Top40 Charts/ Gabrielle Louise Official Website) - Twenty three year old Gabrielle Louise, an emerging Americana artist based in Denver, Colorado, will be releasing Cigarettes for Sentiments on Septmeber 6th. Cigarettes for Sentiments is a character-driven album laced with social commentary and coated in honey vocals.

On the heels of Louise's 2007 EP Around in Circles, and 2006's Journey, 'Cigarettes' captures the sights, sounds, and smells of the American life through a vagabond soul wise beyond her years. With the storytelling taking center stage, Louise offers up snapshots rich in imagery and texture with an undertone of sensuality.

Gabrielle Louise is a performer who, like many other socially-conscious musicians, has made a commitment towards peace and the environment through music. The performer has released a new single, "Save the Arkansas," that seeks to bring awareness to a dire environmental situation that is threatening the health and safety of the Arkansas River Watershed. She was also recently asked by the Willie Nelson Peace Institute to cover Nelson's "Peaceful Solution."

The songstress has toured from Boston to San Francisco, spreading her homegrown mix of roots, jazz and alt country one town at a time. The Gabrielle Louise Show is committed to lowering their carbon footprint during their touring. They have outfitted their van to run on vegetable oil, gathering usable grease for fuel across the country.

Ms. Louise is a two-time John Lennon Songwriting Contest Finalist who is known for her poignant lyrics and captivating vocal range. At one moment folkie and ethereal, the next moment a smoky jazz chanteuse, Louise, as a solo artist or band configuration, has been electrifying audiences with her adventurism and versatility. "Seeing her perform has been like watching the unfolding of an up and coming star." [Acoustic Music Revival, Denver, CO.]
