(Top40 Charts/ Abby Dobson Official Website) - Abby Dobson has created quite a buzz performing around key venues in NY from Frank's Lounge to Shrine, to SOB's, The Blue Note and other places around the area. She's building quite a reputation for being a true artists delight armed with a big vocal range and colorful palette. A really gifted song-writer and very gorgeous voice.
Abby's debut artwork is nearly upon completion. All the songs are recorded, the instrumentation and arrangements are finished and all the production is solid and final. Everything except - the mixing and mastering.

The name of the album is: "Sleeping Beauty: You Are The One You Have Been Waiting On". It will be released on LadyBraveBird Music. The album will be a double CD and is a concept album loosely based on the Sleeping Beauty fairytale. The concept or idea behind the music and the project is twofold. We are all walking around asleep in our lives in many respects and it is the story of a character coming into her awakening from slumber. She awakens when she realizes that she needs to be present in all aspects of her life and when she realizes that she, rather than a prince, principality or any other things, is the one that she has been waiting on. The title track is called "Sleeping Beauty". The album is a call to wake up and go make the world that you dream as an artist, woman, man, citizen etc.
The record was recorded analog, an expensive process requiring analog tape and studios etc.
Abby has been selling raffles the last few days and will do leading up to Oct 23rd where she'll be giving big prizes away to the winners at Solomon's Porch. The raffles are her unique and innovative way of raising the funds to finish the project. She's looking to raise between $10,000-$15,000 By achieving this she needs to sell about 2000 raffles. 1 raffle for $5.00 and a book of 5 raffles for $20.00. She's encouraging folks to buy a book or two if they can.

She has a special birthday performance at Tillman's Lounge on Monday September 29th where she will be selling raffles also.
