NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ VH1) - Palladia, MTV Networks' high-definition music channel, has acquired the exclusive U.S. TV rights to a one-hour special showcasing performances from the "Peace One Day Supported by Ben & Jerry's" concert held at The Royal Albert Hall on September 21 of this year, starring John Legend, Lenny Kravitz, Annie Lennox, Bryan Adams and Peter Gabriel.

Highlights of the concert event, coordinated by the international film project Peace One Day, will premiere on Palladia on Saturday, October 18 at 9PM and will be simulcast on mtvU, MTV's 24-hour college network. Music performances are coupled with messages of peace and speeches from international luminaries and celebrities including Jude Law.

The "Peace One Day" Concert will also be offered as a simulcast on VH1 Radio Network affiliates across the nation, allowing listeners in every major radio market to enjoy the event.

The 60-minute HD special features highlights from the live event celebrating Peace Day on September 21, and a selection of My Take On Peace short films from luminaries including UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and many more.

Launched in 1999 by British filmmaker Jeremy Gilley, the international film project Peace One Day inspired and documented the unanimous adoption by UN member states of the first-ever day of global ceasefire and non-violence fixed annually on September 21st, Peace Day. In 2007, Peace One Day successfully drove the initiative to instigate commitments for Peace Day in 200 countries, including all 192 UN member states, directly involving 100 million people.
