Merion Station, PA. (Top40 Charts/ Birdhouse Records) - Johnnie Ray - A Live Concert from Sciolla's nightclub in Philadelphia, PA on February 10, 1962 is soon to be released on Birdhouse Records. Reel to reel tapes of live concerts made during the early 60's at a Philadelphia nightclub called Sciolla's Supper Club were found at a flea market by Birdhouse Records. The tapes were recorded in mono on a reel to reel tape by persons unknown. Tapes include performances by Johnnie Ray, Bobby Rydell, Connie Francis, Peggy Womack and Lynn Fader, all introduced by Master of Ceremonies Tony Santoro. The Johnnie Ray concert includes performances of his greatest hits: Taking a Chance on Love, Don't Worry 'Bout Me, Rag Doll, All of Me, Somebody Stole My Gal, Walking My Baby Back Home, Such a Night, Till the Clouds Roll By, and a medley of the show stoppers: The Little White Cloud That Cried / Tell the Lady I Said Goodbye / Cry. This concert has never before been released to the public and is a prime example of Johnnie Ray's dynamic performance style.
