Cincinnati, OH. (Top40 Charts/ Rhonda Boudreaux PR) - With consecutive past hits, Blessid Union of Souls have seen their audience expand and diversify over the years. They have become, in a music sense, a permanent fixture in pop culture. The 1995 Platinum release of Home introduced the band to mainstream with its No 1 hit I Believe and Top 20 hits Let Me Be The One and Oh, Virginia, the band's breakthrough and major label debut. Blessid Union of Souls was released a couple years later with two more hits, I Wanna Be There and Light In Your Eyes. Next came Walking Off The Buzz that continued with more hits, Hey Leonardo (She Likes Me For Me) and Standing On The Edge of The World receiving constant airplay. Like most bands, after touring and recording for years, they made a few positioned moves and changes over time. With new management and record label, the band has released their sixth studio album, Close To The Edge. Original member, lead singer Eliot Sloan and bassist Tony Clark, who joined in 1995, teamed up with guitarist Bryan Billhimer and drummer Shaun Schaefer 6 years ago. The depth of Close To The Edge promises to be their best yet. Eliot Sloan and Tony Clark will kick off a 12 city radio tour early November starting in Sloan's home town of Cincinnati to promote their new radio single Could've Been With You. If you're a PD or MD who would like to give Could've Been With You a test run please contact Caleb Morgan. Closed To The Edge was released on Torque Records September 16th, distributed by Sony/Victory/Red.
