Solange To Perform At The Official After Party To The European MTV Awards

HOUSTON, TX. (Top40 Charts/ Music World Entertainment) - Solange is set to perform at the official after party to the European MTV Awards, where she is a presenter, on November 6, 2008. Solange will perform an exclusive 25-minute set held in the Albert dock in the venue "Circo," which will hold 750 guests. Performing at 12 midnight, she will perform songs from her album, "SoL-AngeL and The Hadley St. Dreams." Space is limited, and buzz is incredible, making it the hottest ticket in town.

Solange recently wrapped several opening dates for Alicia Keys on her international "As I Am" tour. Solange's sophomore album, titled "SoL-AngeL and the Hadley Street Dreams," was released on August 26th, 2008, on Music World/Geffen Records and debuted top ten (No 9) on the Billboard 200 Chart and No 3 on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. Her 1st single, "I Decided," reached the No 1 position on the Billboard Dance Chart and also was the No 1 selling single for several consecutive weeks. The single, "T.O.N.Y." which was co-written by Cee-Lo, is the next single being launched in the US. The single "Sandcastle Disco" is at radio in the UK, and "I Decided" is at radio in Europe. The European album release date is November 2008.

Currently in the UK for her headlining dates, Solange performed on the Paul O'Grady Show and will appear on Later With Jools for the final program of the season. She is also touring throughout the UK, taking her incredible Motown inspired performances to popular club venues in Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle, Brighton and London.
