London, UK. (Top40 Charts/ Serge Entertainment PR) - Eternal Descent, the up-and-coming industrial/metal/goth band from London, UK, announced today that legendary producer Eddie Kramer, famed for his work with artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Kiss, will be overseeing production and engineering their second album.

Kramer explained, 'I'm excited to be working with such great creative and energetic artists. Eternal Descent reminds me of "The Garden of Earthly Delights"; particularly the sinners panel! The project is indeed a challenging one as it encompasses all of the skills both myself and the artists have learned. We will need to be at the top of our game to make it a reality. The scope of this recording appeals right to the core of my production and engineering skills.'

Rob Sutherland, the Eternal Descent second guitarist who worked with Kramer on a previous project remarked, "It's such an honour to be working with Eddie. His musical skill is of such a high level that it's just awesome to know that he will be guiding us through this behemoth of a recording".

As well as producing and mastering the album, Kramer will also be co-orchestrating the arrangement of orchestral parts, based on scores by Eternal Descent mastermind Llexi Leon.

"Eddie is not just a world-renowned producer and one of the craziest guys we know" said Leon, "He is also an extremely accomplished musician who studied classical piano, cello and violin at the prestigious South African college of Music. Since Eternal Descent is a melting pot of gothic, ambient metal with ubiquitous orchestral soundscapes, Eddie is the perfect guy to work with on these powerful moving sections."

The recording will take place both in London where the band are based and also in LA where they will have meetings with Eddie to work on various parts of the album. The first trip to LA will be sponsored by Faith Guitars.

"We are off to the Winter NAMM show next year and we will meet Eddie there to kick the whole thing off. It's going to be great! It will be my first trip to America and I can't wait," said Sutherland.

"Faith and ESP have just been so supportive of everything we do it is mind blowing. It's great to work with companies who understand the value of an artist," Leon affirms.

To date, Eternal Descent has had two releases - an EP and a full-length CD release. The "Phantom of the Opera" EP released earlier this year, is a taste of things to come from the new Eternal Descent album and comic slated for a 2009 release.,

Eternal Descent's 2007 release "Losing Faith" continues to see significant success with the media and has been hailed as one of the best concept albums on the market. WCH Radio named the track "Our Own Devils" from "Losing Faith" as one of the Top 30 songs of 2007.

Eternal Descent's sound weaves elements of metal, industrial, ambient and experimental music fused with romantic filmscore arrangements. Using cutting edge cinematic sound effects, narrative lyrics and fusions of styles from ethereal soundscapes to crushing metal, the aim of this project is to integrate comic book visuals and animation within an album style series of releases. "Losing Faith" was the first in this series. Going one step further than simply creating a soundtrack to the comic, the audio for all releases includes narrative style lyrics and quotes from the scripts, along with dynamic sound effects and orchestration to accurately portray events and atmospheres within the story.
Each track represents a comic book, and the "Losing Faith" album is split into 3 chapters of 4 tracks. Each chapter will be released as a 4 issue miniseries in comic book format. The first comic to be released will be an issue No 0 preview, giving depth to the main characters and providing a backstory and timeline for the album. The first issue will be published early in 2009. Music videos are also being created in animation format to bring pivotal events of the story to life in an anime style.
Eternal Descent endorses ESP guitars, Faith guitars, Ernie Ball strings, and Orange amplifiers.
