(Top40 Charts/ Fox Searchlight Pictures) - Edwin Freeman portrays legendary Hip-Hop DJ Mister Cee, in the upcoming biopic " Notorious" which chronicles the rise and fall of rap icon Christopher "The Notorious B.I.G." Wallace; who came straight out of Brooklyn, to hypnotize fans and take the world of rap music by storm. Mister Cee, who's responsible for discovering Wallace and introducing him to Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs, can be heard on New York City's No 1 Hip-Hop radio station Hot 97 FM; on the weekdays, during the old school at noon. Freeman says: "The hardest part about portraying a real life person is making sure you capture the very essence of their existence, your portrayal has to be authentic." The theatrical trailer for "Notorious", which was unveiled at this year's BET Hip-Hop Awards, hit the internet shortly afterwards creating a buzz worldwide, which has millions of fans anticipating the release of the long awaited film. "Notorious", which also stars Angela Bassett as Voletta Wallace, Derek Luke as Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs, Anthony Mackie as Tupac Shakur and Jamal "Gravy" Woolard as The Notorious B.I.G. hits theaters nationwide on January 16, 2009 and will be distributed by Fox Searchlight Pictures.
