LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Lola Dutronic Official Website) - LOLA DUTRONIC, the Grammy Award nominated* French Pop/Electronica duo are pleased to announce the release of their new album 'LOLA DUTRONIC IN BERLIN' exclusively on iTunes and CDBaby.com
This album, the band's 3rd, is the follow up to their Grammy Award nominated* album, 'THE LOVE PARADE'.
Recorded over a 3 week period in a vacant Berlin apartment, and mixed in Toronto by writer/producer Richard Citroen, 'LOLA DUTRONIC IN BERLIN' features new vocalist Lola Dee, as well as piano contributions from special guest, Mike Garson (of David Bowie fame).
Previously best known for their contributions to 'The L-Word' soundtrack, CBC Radio, and imaginative cover versions, 'LOLA DUTRONIC IN BERLIN' is the first album to feature material exclusively written by the band, including the French disco single "MY RADIO".
After releasing 2 albums with Vancouver-based Indie label, Bongo Beat Records, the band have decided to eliminate record companies all together and release the album on their own LDP imprint and market it exclusively through iTunes and CDBaby.com.
Here's what some reviewers have had to say about 'LOLA DUTRONIC IN BERLIN':
'An elegant piece of music....as stylish as the vintage material to which it pays homage' - John Sakamoto The Anti-Hit List
'There are definitely moments where Lola Dutronic seem to channel a softer side of Goldfrapp.....tracks such as Chanson D'ete and My Radio removes them from the well worn path of French Lounge and allows the group to move beyond their contemporaries.' - layabozi. com
'A dreamy, super-husky voice......seductive, danceable music' - Guuzbourg - Fillies Sourires
