Washington, DC. (Top40 Charts/ Jalapeno Records) - The mighty All Good Funk Alliance is a renowned electronic bump squad from the Washington, DC area. Releasing singles since 1997 they've built a large following of worldwide fans hungry for an organic breakbeat sound rooted in classic funk. The Alliance's associations with like-minded artists such as Kraak & Smaak and Ursula 1000 have brought them to the point of burgeoning b-boy fame, reinforced by their debut mix CD The Raid just released on England's Jalapeno label.

Slingshot Boogie, All Good Funk Alliance's third CD, collects the best of the duo's past dancefloor bombs along with some new classics. "Sock it To Ya!" starts off the album with a new electro slant to the All Good Funk Alliance sound and features stabbing horns and a thumping bassline that drives the track over the edge. The title cut, "Slingshot Boogie" featuring Canadian MC Think Tank, is a throw-back to those classic party hip-house records of the early 90s which were all about having a good time and forgetting the worries of the week.
"Super Jam" is a song that speaks for itself and is really the centerpiece of the album, summing up what the AGFA sound is about: slamming funk breaks, dope vocals and horns, all rocking harmoniously to the distant groove that James Brown helped form in the 1970s. The Slingshot Boogie CD also features some more hypnotic and serious grooves in the form of "REC", "Twang" and some straight up b-boy jams like "Top Brass", "Call it", "NY Funk" and "Blastin?". All Good Funk Alliance also called on some friends to help give a few of the songs a different flavor ... Flow Dynamics, Malente and Ancient Astronauts all obliged with some razor-sharp remixes.

Known to rock the masses with unreleased cuts and fresh beats sprinkled with house and funk, All Good Funk Alliance frequent clubs from Colombia to San Francisco to London and play wherever the groove is needed. The cuts on Slingshot Boogie have been their DJ set secret weapons for a while and now they are in your hands. Your mission should you choose to accept it. Now freeze!
