London, UK. (Top40 Charts/ Virgin Media) - Virgin Media today unveiled its long awaited 50Mb advertising campaign. Samuel L Jackson stars in the new TV ad, promoting the UK's first ultrafast broadband service. The 20 second ad will air from tomorrow with its first high profile slot on ITV1 during the FA Cup Third Round match between Liverpool and Preston. Standing in front of walls full of light and colour, Samuel L Jackson marks the arrival of Virgin Media's much anticipated ultrafast 50Mb broadband service as the moment "the internet revolution really happened". The ad showcases the light running through Virgin Media's uniquely powerful fibre optic network, delivering billions of pictures, words, songs and videos every second and making 50Mb the "Mother of All Broadband". Ashley Stockwell, MD of Brand and Marketing at Virgin Media said "50Mb is a massive leap forward for the broadband market and promises to transform the way people interact and entertain themselves online. Samuel L Jackson is an unmistakeably powerful voice to deliver our message and bring the impact of ultrafast broadband right into people's living room." Created by Rapier, the 50Mb ad campaign follows Virgin Media's successful TV Liberation and Mother of All Broadband collaborations with Samuel L Jackson. The TV ads are part of a multi-million pound media campaign for Virgin Media, which includes TV, print, outdoor and online. Virgin Media is rolling out its 50Mb broadband service to over 12 million UK homes by the summer.
