New York, NY. (Top 40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - With 'Wild Thing,' Chip Taylor's place in the rock and roll canon would be safe. But Taylor not only wrote what is arguably the greatest rock and roll song of all time, he crafted some of rock and country's most seminal tracks.

Along with 'Wild Thing' Taylor wrote:
'Angel Of The Morning'- (Merrilee Rush, Juice Newton, Shaggy)
'Try (Just A Little Bit Harder)' - (Janis Joplin)
"He Sits at Your Table" - (Willie Nelson)
"Sweet Dream Woman" - (Waylon Jennings)
"A Little Bit Later On Down the Line" - (Bobby Bare)
"Son of a Rotten Gambler" - (Emmylou Harris, the Hollies, Anne Murray)
"Country Girl City Man" - (Ike & Tina Turner, Fania All-Stars)
His songs have been performed by Johnny Cash, Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, Jimi Hendrix and Willie Nelson among countless others.

Taylor's new book and companion CD 'Songs From A Dutch Tour' tells the improbable story of how a kid from New York ended up playing country music for a devoted audience in The Netherlands. From growing up in Yonkers with brother Jon Voight, to breaking into the Brill Building, to writing hits in the '60's, to leaving a successful career to become a professional gambler before unbelievably returning to a success as a solo artist a decade later.
