New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Multiple GRAMMY Award winners violinist/composer Mark O'Connor and guitarist Sharon Isbin will join forces in a dynamic new collaboration at New York's Symphony Space Friday, January 23rd. Each will perform a solo set, followed by the premiere of O'Connor's new work for guitar and violin, "Strings and Threads."

O'Connor, whose 'Americana Symphony: Variations on "Appalachian Waltz"' will be released March 10 by OMAC, plans to play some of his famously difficult solo Caprices, which have been viewed nearly 100,000 times on YouTube. Renowned for his virtuosity, he says the Caprices sound "as good right now as I have ever played them."

Isbin, winner of Guitar Player magazine's "Best Classical Guitarist" award, is known for premiering new works by today's most admired composers. "Strings and Threads" will be on her new CD, out in March from SonyBMG.
