DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (Top40 Charts/ Saleh Hamed) - Juliana Down have begun releasing material from their second album "Freaks and Wonders" with the song 'Empires' which has already topped the first internet song charts at Soundclick.com and has been played over 7,000 times in the last week. Sol, who got married during the band's hiatus, says that 'Empires' is a love song, "I wrote this song for my wife. It was a couple of months before our big day and I was feeling extremely lucky to have met her. I found it ironic that exactly when I stopped looking for " The One" she arrived and turned my world upside down. I had been afraid of commitment for a lot of my life but when I met this particular young lady everything else on earth just disappeared. Nothing else was even remotely important. And so, these words just poured out of me. Only after I had written the song was I capable of understanding just how much of a difference she was making in my life." Juliana Down will be releasing one song a month online from now until July and will release a full length album towards the end of the 2009. "Our fans were getting restless and we don't blame them. It has been a while since we put anything out and to make them wait another 9 months until we have finished the whole album seemed tremendously unfair. We can't upset our fans," commented Dia. The band, who have taken over management responsibilities from their former management CSM, are set to preview many of the album's material at Slob fest this Friday, January 16th, at Alpha in Le Meridien, Dubai. Current tracks set for the album include: Good for nothing, This time around, Empires, Freaks and Wonders, Hollow man, This one, Rush, Time, I want something else, To the end and Running around.
