NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Island Boy Entertainment) - Rising Hip Hop star Jeff Jones has release his new single, 'I Do What I Want To'. The single which is currently getting a lot of spins by djs in the club and some airplay on non-commercial radio station, shows Jeff Jones musical talents and his potential to be a big star in the industry.

Jeff Jones who was raised in the gang dominated streets of Los Angeles's Compton and South Central neighborhoods started rapping and performing at the early age of ten. His performances included free styling at school and performing with a local hip-hop group. His music inspiration came from West Coast hip-hop legends such as 2Pac, Snoop, Ice Cube and DJ Quik and later New York's Notorious B.I.G.

In 2007, Jeff Jones received notoriety with the release of his debut mixtape 'I Smell Smoke Vol. 1'. The mixtape is hosted by LA's finest DJ Felli Fel of Power 106 and the Heavy Hitters and featured artists such as NE-YO, D. Woods of Danity Kane, LAX Boyz (One Recordings), Midwest City (Universal Motown) and the sounds of hit producer Poli Paul (Chingy, Black Eyed Peas).

Jeff Jones later teamed up with production company label-mate Solo of R&B group Midwest City (Universal/Motown) to form a writing team called 'Wryters Block.' Their winning combination of street swagger with soulfulness and melody caught the attention of top producers, hip-hop artists and R&B/pop artists. As songwriters, they have worked with hit artists and producers such as Chingy, Christina Milian, Shana May Jackson, Shawty Lo, Bun B, Gucci Mane, Jonathan 'JR' Rotem, Jazze Pha, and Eric Hudson. Jeff Jones definitely has a bright future in the hip hop arena.
